Stellvester Ajero, better known by his stage name Stell, is a Filipino singer, songwriter, dancer, and choreographer. Known for his wide vocal range, he is the main vocalist, lead dancer, and main choreographer of the internationally-acclaimed Filipino boy group SB19.
Stell Ajero was born on June 16, 1995 in Las Piñas City, Metro Manila, Philippines. He studied Hotel and Restaurant Management at STI College. Before joining SB19, he became a member of a dance cover group called SE-EON together with his fellow SB19 member Josh. They went on to win the K-Pop Cover Dance Contest in the K-Pop Asean Festival in 2014.
Stell’s musical inspirations are Filipino balladeer Jed Madela, the first Filipino to win the World Championships of Performing Arts title, Morisette, Filipina vocalist, singer and producer, pop icon Bruno Mars, and South Korean boy band, VIXX.
Get in the Zone: SB19 (2018 to present)
In 2016, Stell auditioned for ShowBT Philippines, a Philippine-based Korean company in search of the next boy group who would be trained under the Korean Idol system. On 26 October 2018, Stell debuted with fellow SB19 members Pablo, Josh, Justin, and Ken with “Tilaluha.”
Stell became the main vocalist, lead dancer, and main choreographer of SB19, and is known to have primarily choreographed their hits such as “Go Up,” “What?,” and “Where You At.”
Stell is also the only soprano member of SB19 and is dubbed as the group’s “Heavenly Voice.”
A Triple Threat: Solo Works (2022 to present)
With his uncanny and wide range of vocals, Stell was chosen as one of the performers in the musical show called “A Night of Wonder with Disney+” in November 2022. During the launch of streaming platform Disney+ in the Philippines, he sang his rendition of “Circle of Life”—originally performed by Elton John from the original soundtrack for the 1994 film The Lion King.
He was also featured as the main protagonist battling inner demons in Filipino OPM group The Juan’s “Salamin” music video.
Stell also won Pop Main Vocalist of the Year in the 2022 PPOP Awards and Male Tiktok Face of the Year in the 2022 Village People’s Choice Awards.
Coach Stell: The Voice of a Generation (2023 to present)
After being eyed for the role of Coach for the first The Voice Generations Philippines, Stell finally accepted the offer to coach alongside established musicians—Chito Miranda of Parokya ni Edgar, Billy Crawford, and Julie Ann San Jose. He went on to lead his team to victory, as VocalMyx of Team Stellbound was crowned the first ever winner of The Voice Generations Philippines.
Stell will return as a coach for The Voice Kids in 2024.
A Stellar Star is Born: Stell’s Solo Career (2024 to present)
In June 14, 2024, Stell released his debut single entitled ‘ROOM.’ a funk-filled pop track to celebrate one’s authenticity and dance to the rhythm of your own heartbeat. This pulsating dance anthem is more than just a sanctuary — it’s a manifesto of provocation to liberation.
He made history when ‘ROOM’ debuted in the iTunes Worldwide Chart at #38.
He is the first 1Z Entertainment artist to be signed under Warner Music.
Among the EP’s highlights was “‘Di Ko Masabi,” a ballad written specifically for Stell by National Artist for Music Maestro Ryan Cayabyab. The song further highlighted Stell’s ability to bring emotional depth and vocal precision to a more intimate musical setting.
Following the release of the EP, Stell embarked on his first nationwide solo tour, bringing the Room experience to fans in Cebu, Davao, Cagayan de Oro, and Taguig. His concerts also allowed him to showcase the full breadth of his vocal abilities through challenging performances ranging from contemporary pop to theatrical and classic ballads.
Stell’s first solo era proved that Stell could command the stage not only as SB19’s “Heavenly Voice,” but also as an artist with a musical identity of his own.
Still in the Zone: Stell with SB19 (2024)
While 2024 opened the door to Stell’s solo career, he remained an integral part of SB19.
Following the completion of the group’s Pagtatag! era, Stell and his fellow members continued to expand SB19’s reach through performances, international activities, and new creative endeavors.
As SB19 entered a period that allowed each member to explore their individual artistry, Stell’s solo debut became part of a larger chapter for the group—one where the five members could grow independently while continuing to build SB19 together.
The group’s journey was documented in PAGTATAG! The Documentary, which gave fans a closer look at the challenges, growth, and experiences behind one of SB19’s most significant eras.
By the end of 2024, Stell had established himself as more than just a member of one of the Philippines’ biggest P-pop groups. He had begun carving out his own space as a solo performer while continuing to contribute his vocals, dance, choreography, and stage presence to SB19.
From Simula to Wakas: Stell with SB19 (2025)
In 2025, SB19 entered a new era with Simula at Wakas, the third installment of the group’s trilogy following Pagsibol and Pagtatag!.
The group released the pre-release single “DAM” on February 28, 2025, followed by the Simula at Wakas EP on April 25. The project featured “DAM,” “Dungka!,” “Time,” and other tracks that reflected the group’s continued evolution in sound, storytelling, and artistry.
Stell once again brought his signature vocals and performance style to the group’s music, demonstrating how his growing experience as a soloist could complement his role within SB19.
The release was followed by the Simula at Wakas World Tour, which began with a historic two-night kickoff concert at the Philippine Arena on May 31 and June 1, 2025. The tour eventually brought SB19 to audiences across Asia, North America, the Middle East, and Oceania.
For Stell, 2025 became a year of balancing two identities: the solo artist developing his own voice and the SB19 member continuing to help carry the group onto the global stage.
Wakas at Simula: A New Beginning with SB19 (2026)
The beginning of 2026 marked another milestone for SB19.
On January 30, the group released Simula at Wakas: Kickoff Concert Album, a live recording of their historic Philippine Arena concerts. The release captured performances spanning SB19’s different eras and celebrated the group’s journey from their beginnings to their latest chapter.
SB19 subsequently released “VISA” on February 20, 2026, marking the group’s first new single of the year. The song explored the realities faced by Filipinos seeking opportunities abroad, continuing SB19’s tradition of incorporating Filipino experiences into their music.
On March 27, 2026, SB19 released Wakas at Simula, an ambitious project that brought together the trilogy that began with Pagsibol, continued through Pagtatag!, and concluded with Simula at Wakas. The album also introduced new material, including “Emoji,” featuring Taiwanese pop superstar Jolin Tsai, and “Toyfriend,” a collaboration with Japanese boy group BE.
The trilogy reached its culmination on April 18, 2026, when SB19 held Wakas at Simula: The Trilogy Finale at the SMDC Festival Grounds in Parañaque.
The massive concert celebrated the end of one chapter while, fittingly, opening another.
For Stell, the moment represented more than the conclusion of SB19’s trilogy. It was another marker in an ongoing journey that had taken him from a young dancer and aspiring performer to one of the Philippines’ most recognizable vocalists and performers.
Crazy About the Next Chapter: Stell Returns to Solo Music (2026)
After establishing his solo identity through Room, Stell is entering a new chapter in his individual career.
On August 21, 2026, Stell is set to release “Crazy,” his next solo single. The upcoming release marks his return to solo music following his 2024 debut era and signals the beginning of a new phase in his artistic journey.
Where Room introduced audiences to Stell as a solo artist, “Crazy” promises to explore what comes next.
With years of experience as SB19’s main vocalist, lead dancer, and main choreographer, a successful debut solo era, and an expanding body of work as a performer, Stell enters this new chapter with an artistic identity that is distinctly his own.
From the stages of SB19 to his own Room, and now into “Crazy,” Stell continues to prove that his artistry cannot be confined to a single role.
He is a vocalist.
A dancer.
A choreographer.
A performer.
And, above all, an artist still discovering just how far his voice can take him.
